3.9 Boo: Dating. Friends. Chat. is not just another dating app; it’s a vibrant platform that connects people looking for friendships, romantic relationships, or casual chats. Here are some of its standout features:
My journey with Boo began on a rainy Saturday afternoon when I was feeling a bit lonely. I decided to give the app a try, hoping to find someone to chat with or perhaps even meet up for coffee. I opened the app, and within minutes, I was swiping through profiles. I found a user who shared my love for indie music and decided to send a message. We ended up chatting for hours, discussing our favorite bands and upcoming concerts. This scenario is just one of many where Boo has seamlessly integrated into my daily life, whether I’m looking for a new friend or a potential date.
The user interface of Boo is sleek and intuitive, making navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that made it easy to access my matches, messages, and profile settings. The feature workflow is smooth; I could quickly swipe through profiles and send messages without any lag. I particularly appreciated the personality quiz that helped refine my matches. Overall, my experience has been positive, with the app performing well and providing a pleasant atmosphere for connecting with others.
Boo offers a free version that allows users to explore many features, but there’s also a premium subscription available. The premium version unlocks additional features like seeing who liked your profile and accessing more advanced filters for matches. I found the pricing to be reasonable, especially considering the value it adds to the overall experience. It’s a small investment for the potential to meet someone special.
The app is regularly updated, which is a significant plus. I’ve noticed improvements in performance and new features being added, such as enhanced safety measures and more engaging community events. The support team is responsive; I had a minor issue with my profile, and they resolved it quickly. This level of support gives me confidence in using the app long-term.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using dating apps. Boo is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During registration, the app requires basic personal information, but it’s not overly invasive. I appreciated that I could choose to keep certain details private, such as my last name and location. Additionally, Boo does not bombard users with ads, which is a relief. Instead, it focuses on creating a user-friendly experience without tracking behavior excessively. Overall, I feel secure using Boo, knowing that my data is handled with care and that I have control over my privacy settings.

A pretty good experience initially, it's different from other apps and I liked that it's more tailored towards interests and personality. But the restrictions let it down in major way - I hit my daily limit quickly - and the subscription prices are absolutely nuts. There are daily tasks that offer you extra likes/dislikes but half of them don't work. It's such a shame, because it has a lot of potential. Plus, the ai ads for it are so creepy and weird.

+It's less predatory than other apps. ~MBTI was developed for corporate team torture and has no scientific backing, so using it for a dating app may not be the best choice, but at least it's different. -I get a lot of false alerts from the app, which is annoying - new souls near you, opens app, no souls found, and similar. ~There is a community that you can interact with, but it's not for me. -There are not nearly enough people in my area for a subscription, so can't comment on value.

Seems like it would be better in a more populated place. I like how it uses interests to help match that most of why I gave4/5. As it's for friends and/or dating, sexuwal orientation should be made clearer. I think the default is straight, which it doesn't list clearly in profiles. There are some aspects of the "univers" thing and profiles from everywhere that are not my cup of tea, but the match search has plenty of filters. I don't like the allowance of "incognito" that's a scam risk I block.

I am impartial with the app. I appreciate the lack of ads, but I wasn't expecting to have to pay to use the app, so I currently have limited access. The lower rating is due to a combination of pay gates and not fully understanding the icons. For an app that pushes towards gamers, they sure do lack in explaining how to navigate and use the available features.

decent, less scammers than others, so far... ⭐ONE THING YOU SHOULD ADD⭐: since search volume is still pretty low you should allow a way to select multiple locations at once for searching, it is absolutely painful to go from area to area one at a time consistently every single week... allow a checkbox that accumulates all the locations I want to search so I have to keep selecting each one separately ⭐
