4.8 ClassDojo is a powerful communication platform designed to connect teachers, students, and parents in a seamless educational experience. Here are some of its standout features:
As a parent, I found myself using ClassDojo almost daily. Every morning, I would check the app to see if there were any announcements from my child’s teacher. It became a routine to look for updates on classroom activities or reminders about upcoming events. During the school year, I also used the app to communicate directly with the teacher about my child’s progress and any concerns I had. For instance, when my child struggled with math, I reached out through ClassDojo, and the teacher promptly provided resources and strategies to help at home.
The user interface of ClassDojo is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that made navigation a breeze. The dashboard clearly displayed notifications, messages, and updates, allowing me to quickly access what I needed. I particularly appreciated the feature that allowed me to view my child’s behavior points and feedback from the teacher in real-time. The performance was smooth, with minimal loading times, which is crucial when I’m trying to check updates on the go. Overall, my experience with ClassDojo has been overwhelmingly positive; it feels like a supportive community where I can actively participate in my child’s education.
ClassDojo is free to use, which is a significant advantage for parents and teachers alike. The app is funded through donations and partnerships, ensuring that all features are accessible without any hidden fees. This model allows schools to implement ClassDojo without financial strain, making it an excellent resource for enhancing communication and engagement in the classroom.
ClassDojo regularly updates its app to improve functionality and user experience. I’ve noticed enhancements in features like messaging and classroom management tools over time. The support team is responsive and helpful; I once had a question about a feature, and they replied within a day with clear instructions. This level of support gives me confidence in using the app and knowing that any issues will be addressed promptly.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using educational apps like ClassDojo. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During registration, I was required to provide basic information, such as my name and email address, but I appreciated that there were no intrusive data requests. ClassDojo does not display ads, which is a relief, as it means my child’s data isn’t being sold to advertisers. Additionally, the app has a robust privacy policy that outlines how data is used and protected, ensuring that my family’s information remains secure. Overall, I feel confident that ClassDojo prioritizes user privacy while providing a valuable educational tool.

I love the platform. Dojo makes it so easy to communicate with families and reward students. However the app requires very frequent logins, sometimes up to 3 times a day. I wish that it would keep you logged in for at least a week at a time or biometric login. I also wish there was a store feature so you can save redemption values for things you use often.

This app works. It does the basics, but it harasses you to upgrade to the paid version almost constantly, and at one point became unusable because a popup wanted me to approve them using my child's information. the choices were all or limited. when I didn't want them sharing ANY. I truly hope next year's teacher picks something else.

This does not appear to be "100% free" as advertised. It's required for my kid's kindergarten class, but without purchasing the 'plus' version, that is annoyingly advertised every other click, I can't really do anything with it. I can't even customize my kid's monster avatar or assign more than three points. From my experience so far, I'd say it is more accurate to say it's free to view a limited amount of things but you have to pay for it to really function as intended.

I am having issues this new school year as well with messages/notifications not coming up. Yes, 'push notifications' and 'allow notifications' are all turned on. There wasn't any issues last year. Is it because there is a past year in there now? It's frustrating. I know others that are having this issue too. Can you help? Other that that, I love the app!

I absolutely love the app when it works, but even though I've been subscribed to Plus for several weeks, I almost am never able to use the plus features. I uninstalled and re-installed, but it still tells me to subscribe. I was even going to pay again just because it kept prompting me when I needed access, but then I get an error code that I'm already subscribed, and "we are unable to perform this action, please try again later." I even got a new phone, but it still did not make "later" come.
