4.8 As someone who has always had a passion for art but struggled with drawing, I found "Simply Draw: Learn to Draw" to be a game-changer. I often use the app during my lunch breaks at work. Instead of scrolling through social media, I pull out my tablet and dive into a new drawing tutorial. Just last week, I decided to tackle a landscape scene. The step-by-step guidance helped me create a beautiful sunset over mountains, which I later shared with my colleagues. They were impressed, and it sparked a conversation about art that I never expected to have at the office!
The user interface of Simply Draw is incredibly intuitive. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that made navigation a breeze. The tutorials are easy to find, and the drawing tools are conveniently located at the bottom of the screen. I particularly appreciate the smooth performance; there’s no lag when I’m drawing, which is crucial for maintaining my creative flow. The app also allows for easy undoing of mistakes, which has saved me countless times. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive, and I feel more confident in my drawing abilities with each session.
Simply Draw offers a free version with basic features, which is great for beginners. However, for those looking to unlock the full potential of the app, there’s a premium subscription available. The pricing is reasonable, and I found that the additional features, such as advanced tutorials and exclusive drawing tools, are well worth the investment. I opted for the premium version after a week of using the free one, and I haven’t looked back since!
The developers of Simply Draw are quite proactive in providing updates. I’ve noticed several enhancements since I started using the app, including new tutorials and improved tools. The support team is also responsive; I had a minor issue with a tool not functioning correctly, and they addressed it within 24 hours. This level of customer service gives me confidence in the app and its ongoing development.
When it comes to security and privacy, Simply Draw takes user concerns seriously. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During the registration process, I was only required to provide minimal personal information, which I appreciated. There are no intrusive ads, and I haven’t noticed any tracking behavior that would compromise my privacy. The developers have made it clear that they prioritize user data protection, which is reassuring for American users like myself who are increasingly concerned about online privacy.

its probably good for beginners. I've been learning to draw for years, and i downloaded simply draw so i could learn perspective, since i couldn't find any tutorials for it anywhere else. it made me draw a fish and waste a page of my sketchbook, which I'm not a big fan of. i wish you could choose your skill level rather than the app assuming you have never picked up a pencil before. also, the fact that we're having AI scan the art pisses me off. lets not do that, its unnecessary.

total scam for time! I only drew a single fish then it asked me to pay! it also was so laggy every section would get stuck! I had to exit the app and go back in a lot. it said I could use any paper the paper I used would not work. I had to take the picture a lot till I figured the problem. I did not get any feedback from the app. I would not recommend this app.

I absolutely love Simply Draw, I really missed it when I sold my iPad. I'm so glad it's on Android now too, it's literally my favorite way to learn drawing! Edit: Unfortunately, while this was included with my Simply Piano plan on iPad, here, it is a standalone subscription that is VERY expensive. It's almost twice the price of Simply Piano, which isn't cheap. So while I do love it, I can't justify the price.

My daughter wanted this app, but it requires a subscription, which does not work for Family Link managed devices. It also has no way to purchase a subscription outside the app itself. I attempted to install it on a non-managed device and was forced into an intro that I had to close the app to get out of (no cancel or back options). After fighting with it for an hour, I just wanted to uninstall, but it would not even let me delete the account I was forced to create. Avoid at all costs!

I liked the app and the fact it teaches you to draw but like every thing you get a free 3 day trial and then you have to pay either monthly or yearly. They should state this during the advertisement or show it soon as you open the app, but I feel it should be said I'm the advertisement so if you want to pay then down load if not that way you don't waste your time with it!
