4.5 As a passionate sports enthusiast, "HomeTown Fan" has become an integral part of my daily routine. I often find myself using the app during family gatherings, where discussions about local teams and players are inevitable. Just last weekend, while hosting a barbecue, I pulled out the app to check the live score of a nearby baseball game. My relatives were impressed by how quickly I could provide updates, sparking lively debates about player performances and strategies.
Another scenario where the app shines is during my kids' sports events. As a parent, I want to support my children while also keeping up with the local sports scene. I often use "HomeTown Fan" to check the schedules of their games and compare them with local high school matches. This way, I can plan our weekends around both family activities and community events, ensuring we never miss out on the excitement.
The user interface of "HomeTown Fan" is sleek and intuitive, making navigation a breeze. Upon opening the app, I am greeted with a clean dashboard that displays the latest scores and news. The layout is well-organized, allowing me to quickly access my favorite teams and upcoming events. I particularly appreciate the seamless workflow when switching between different sports; it feels fluid and responsive.
Performance-wise, the app is reliable, with minimal lag during peak times, which is crucial when I’m trying to catch live updates. The notifications are timely and relevant, ensuring I’m always in the loop without being overwhelmed by unnecessary alerts. Overall, my experience with "HomeTown Fan" has been overwhelmingly positive, as it has enhanced my connection to local sports and fostered a sense of community among fellow fans.
"HomeTown Fan" offers a free version that provides access to a wealth of features, making it accessible for everyone. However, for those looking for an ad-free experience and additional premium content, there is a subscription option available. I opted for the premium version, and the small monthly fee has been worth every penny, given the enhanced features and exclusive content I now enjoy.
The developers of "HomeTown Fan" are proactive in rolling out updates, ensuring the app remains fresh and functional. I’ve noticed several improvements since I first downloaded it, including enhanced community features and better performance. Customer support is also commendable; I reached out with a question about a feature, and the response was prompt and helpful. It’s reassuring to know that the team behind the app is dedicated to providing a great user experience.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and "HomeTown Fan" does not disappoint. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility and security. During the registration process, I was only required to provide basic information, such as my name and email address, which is a relief compared to many apps that demand excessive personal data.
Regarding ads and tracking behavior, "HomeTown Fan" is transparent about its advertising practices. While I do encounter some ads, they are relevant and not overly intrusive. The app also offers an option to opt-out of personalized ads, which I appreciate as it gives me control over my data. Overall, I feel secure using "HomeTown Fan," knowing that my privacy is respected while I enjoy the thrill of local sports.

Worst ticketing app I've ever used, and it's not even close. Every time we use it, it's like the company found another way to make the App worse. App can't stay logged in, and it logs the user out immediately after logging in. Can enter login credentials and payment, and then when I check my account it says I need to log in to see the tickets. But then the app goes back to not letting me log in. Company should refund every convenience fee they've ever charged.

Just an awful experience. Ticket Spicket is the app we used to use, without any issues, but it was bought and merged with HomeTown Fan App. Purchasing tickets is so much harder now, if you can even find the event you are trying to attend. Season passes being lost after the app transition. And on, and on, and on ... I removed my payment account because I'm afraid that will become compromised as well. Just a masterclass in how to screw up a great app by selling it to a second rate team. 0 stars.

Our school requires tickets to be purchased through this app, and it's terrible for every game I try it on. It throws error codes as soon as I start typing anything into the search bar. On the rare occasion I can actually get the search to produce what I'm looking for, it crashes just as I'm finishing the purchase process. Takes literally dozens of attempts to get tickets, and then I have to screenshot them because they always fail to open at the gate.

Terrible, keep payment receipts, and PDF ticket/passes. App does not allow access to or display ticket/pass QR codes. App only allows the purchase of individual game tickets and not the pass bundles available on the website. App is designed to force multiple transactions, each with a "convenience fee," even though the Hometown fan website allows for ticket bundles at a cheaper price with only one transaction fee.

this app sucks. just hangs and hangs. very buggy. I won't be able to get into my highschool football game tonight. *Update - Our highschool had to let scores of people into the football game for free because very few people could get this app to work. So now they have changed the policy to allow cash ticket sales once again. Hallelujah! I won't have to use this app again.
