4.9 Huckleberry: Baby & Child is a comprehensive app designed to support parents in managing their child's sleep, feeding, and overall development. Here are some of its standout features:
As a new parent, I often find myself juggling multiple responsibilities, from work to household chores, all while trying to ensure my baby is well taken care of. Huckleberry has become my go-to app for managing my child's daily routine. For example, during a particularly hectic week, I used the sleep tracking feature to log my baby’s naps and nighttime sleep. This allowed me to identify patterns and adjust their schedule accordingly, ensuring they were getting enough rest. Additionally, I utilized the feeding log to keep track of their feeding times, which helped me maintain a consistent routine even when life got busy.
The user interface of Huckleberry is clean and intuitive, making it easy to navigate even for sleep-deprived parents like myself. The onboarding process was straightforward, allowing me to set up my profile and start logging data within minutes. Each feature flows seamlessly into the next, and I appreciate how the app provides reminders for feeding and sleep times. Performance-wise, I have not encountered any glitches or slowdowns, which is a relief when I’m trying to quickly log information. Overall, my experience with Huckleberry has been overwhelmingly positive; it feels like having a personal assistant dedicated to my child's well-being.
Huckleberry offers a free version with basic features, which is great for parents who want to try it out. However, for those looking for a more comprehensive experience, the premium subscription unlocks advanced features like personalized sleep plans and expert consultations. The pricing is reasonable considering the value it provides, especially for parents seeking tailored advice and support.
The app is regularly updated, which is reassuring as it shows the developers are committed to improving the user experience. I’ve noticed enhancements in the user interface and the addition of new features based on user feedback. Customer support is also commendable; I reached out with a question about a feature, and the response was prompt and helpful. This level of support makes me feel valued as a user.
As a parent, security and privacy are paramount when using any app that collects personal data. Huckleberry is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic information about my child, such as their age and sleep patterns, but I appreciated that the app does not ask for excessive personal details. There are no intrusive ads, and I have not noticed any tracking behavior that would compromise my privacy. Overall, I feel secure using Huckleberry, knowing that my family's information is handled responsibly.

Meh. I don't get the hype. If I have to hit a button 3 times for it to register and wait for the app to load every single time it's opened, the convenience of using an app to track everything is gone. No helpful widgets, no timer overlays. When working with a squirming or upset child, I need something that works correctly, quickly. Therefore, meh.

If you're data oriented and appreciate structure, this is a very useful tool. However, you need to think before paying, just as with anything else out there. If you don't do the very simple work of logging what is essential to you, this won't be of any help and will likely feel like more work for your already hectic life. For us, it has been great. We only log sleep/naps, bottle, and when rarely necessary, temperature/medicine.

Great app and easy to use! A few improvements: * Need separate tracking and summary for bottle of breast milk vs bottle of formula. Right now the only way to differentiate these is by looking at the metadata. * Would be helpful to get insights about how well milk production is going for those at the beginning of the journey. * The AI feature is not very smart compared to other AIs. It also keeps forgetting it has access to my data - the only reason I'd use the in app AI in the first place.

I really enjoy all of the tracking this app allows and I rely heavily on the data throughout the day. However, the bugs need improvement. It can take up to 60 seconds to load and see the data in the app. The way the timers work isn't great. The popups to buy premium while I'm in the middle of logging things is frustrating. When I'm trying to change the start time on something, it should automatically move from AM/PM instead of resetting the time. Saving has been glitchy lately too.

Amazing app! I recommend it to all new parents! The pricing just to have the notifications displayed without the ability to choose how many or what ones you see is the only reason for 3 stars. I'm literally paying to have notifications. App tracks everything beautifully and allows you simple updates on any device you account is signed into. (Making parenting easy and less stressful of "When Did they last?") If they fix or update to add my request I will change my review.
