4.9 If you're on the hunt for a new job, "Job Search by ZipRecruiter" is an app that can significantly streamline your search process. Here are some of its standout features:
As someone who has recently transitioned careers, I found myself in various scenarios where the "Job Search by ZipRecruiter" app became my go-to resource. For instance, during my lunch breaks at work, I would pull out my phone and browse through job listings. The app's user-friendly interface made it easy to filter jobs by location, salary, and job type. On weekends, I would sit down with my laptop, using the app's website to dive deeper into company reviews and salary insights, ensuring I was well-prepared for interviews. The convenience of having a powerful job search tool at my fingertips made the daunting task of job hunting feel manageable and even enjoyable.
The user interface of "Job Search by ZipRecruiter" is sleek and intuitive. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that made navigation a breeze. The search function is prominently displayed, allowing me to quickly enter keywords or locations. I appreciated the seamless workflow; after applying for a job, I could easily return to my search without losing my place. Performance-wise, the app is responsive, with minimal loading times, which is crucial when you're eager to apply for a position. Overall, my experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The app not only simplifies the job search process but also empowers users with the information they need to make informed decisions.
One of the best aspects of "Job Search by ZipRecruiter" is that it is completely free for job seekers. There are no hidden fees or premium subscriptions required to access its core features. This accessibility makes it an excellent choice for anyone looking to find a job without the burden of additional costs. The app is designed to help you find your next opportunity without breaking the bank.
ZipRecruiter is committed to providing a reliable user experience, and this is evident in their regular updates. The app frequently rolls out new features and improvements based on user feedback, which shows their dedication to enhancing the job search process. Additionally, their customer support is responsive and helpful. I had a minor issue with my account, and their support team addressed it promptly, ensuring I could continue my job search without any interruptions.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using job search apps. "Job Search by ZipRecruiter" is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. The app requires users to register with personal information, including your name, email address, and resume details. While this is standard practice, I appreciated that they clearly outline how my data will be used and stored.
Regarding ads and tracking behavior, I noticed that the app does display some targeted ads based on my job search activity. However, I found this to be a minor inconvenience compared to the benefits of personalized job recommendations. Overall, I felt secure using the app, knowing that my information was handled responsibly and that I had control over my privacy settings.

I don't know how this app got so much worse since the last time I used it, I'm pretty sure they turned it over to AI and it shows. Pretty much none of the jobs are hosted there anymore so it's just an aggregator, and it doesn't allow you to view the full job description. Suggested jobs are way off, not even close to what I'm looking for. The enshittification of Ziprecruiter is complete.

I can't update my resume or whole profile, to be exact, because "Something unexpected happened," and you can't even explain what it is. Also, whenever I put in a SPECIFIC LOCATION, it ALWAYS shows random cities that aren't even close to me. On top of that, every time I refresh and expect a new list of jobs, it's always the same ones. Even when I put filters, it doesn't work. This is so frustrating. I put in a specific job type, and it gave me everything else except what I wanted. 😒😒

When I type "Dishwasher" into the search bar, it should give me search results for dishwasher jobs only! Not anything else! Ignorantly, it starts out showing the correct results, but as it goes on, other types of jobs start appearing that wasn't wanted! If I wanted to search a different job type, I would have simply typed that one into search bar instead! It gets frustrating and very inconvenient when you search farther down the results! Poor design.

Awesome employment search App. Set up my account. Downloaded my Resume. Browsing through the job listing. Applied with several companies and received emails from all of them confirming they received them. Received a phone call for a zoom interview. Set up the time. And before I started it. Received 4 other emails for interviews. Did the first zoom interview and landed the Line Lead position I was wanting. Outstanding App Ziprecruiter!!

Solid for all around job hunting. Only complaints I have is the limited filtering options, and the lack of message notifications. I've missed out on a couple of job opportunities because I don't check the app frequently, and saw that I had messages from interested employers way too late.
