The Pydroid Repository Plugin is an essential tool for Pydroid 3 users, enhancing the app's functionality by providing access to a wide range of additional libraries and packages. This plugin simplifies the process of installing and managing Python packages directly within the Pydroid environment, making it easier for developers and learners to expand their projects. With a user-friendly interface, it streamlines the integration of external resources, fostering a more efficient coding experience on mobile devices.

Features & Highlights

The Pydroid repository plugin is a powerful tool that enhances the functionality of the Pydroid 3 app, making it a must-have for Python enthusiasts. Here are some of its standout features:

  • Seamless Package Management: This feature allows users to easily install and manage Python packages directly from the app. For instance, when I needed to use the popular NumPy library for a data analysis project, I simply searched for it in the repository plugin, clicked install, and within moments, I was ready to code.
  • Offline Mode: The plugin supports offline package installation, which is a lifesaver when I’m working in areas with limited internet connectivity. I once found myself in a remote location without Wi-Fi, but thanks to the offline mode, I had previously downloaded the necessary packages and could continue my work uninterrupted.
  • Custom Repository Support: Users can add custom repositories to access a wider range of packages. I often work with niche libraries that aren’t available in the default repositories. By adding a custom repository, I was able to access and install a specialized library for machine learning that significantly improved my project.
  • Intuitive User Interface: The plugin features a user-friendly interface that makes navigating through packages a breeze. I remember feeling overwhelmed by the number of available libraries, but the organized layout and search functionality helped me find exactly what I needed without any hassle.
  • Regular Updates: The plugin is frequently updated to include the latest packages and improvements. I appreciate this feature because it ensures that I always have access to the newest tools and libraries, keeping my projects up to date with the latest advancements in Python.

Great brand support, enormous push by the company, the graphical being better than a standard terminal, and always another way to get things running. I love it how it's as if a little more evolved than a buggy terminal application. A few more modules and I will surely pay for it!

The plugin is almost ok. There is a problem for many programmers related to automatic upgrade in google play. When an upgrade is released, it upgrades automatically and all installed python packages are removed and replaced with latest versions provided in new pydroid release. It is a terrible issue for a programmer when your environment is automatically upgraded. Can you change this default behavior to notify a user instead of automatic upgrade?

I actually download this because of Jupyter notebook but not work, the error keeps coming that " No module named Maturin" Ensure to resolve this, things actually don't work better at first, we need to continue to sharpen it, till it works better for the purpose we want it to serve. I'm reviewing it 1 star today because you suppose not to deploy this application without testing it's functionality. I believe I will rate it better when every correction are properly taking care if
