It has good series, but is not friendly to binge readers. Most series you can read one episode per day for free. You can also buy ink to unlock more episodes. Episodes stay unlocked, but unlocking a full series is quite expensive, often ranging from 30-60$, depending on the number of episodes. At that price I would prefer to be buying physical copies. You can play games on other apps to get ink, so there's a work around, but the ones I've tried have been very time-consuming.

Updated: Tapas has gone down. They upped their ink per unlock and made it harder to earn free ink, and earned amounts are still the same compared to the upped prices. Wait Until Free keeps reopening chapters I'd already unlocked previously. For the 3 free ad unlocks, it barely works and often goes to an ad that won't load, and then takes away the rest of the chances. Original: Great stories and comics, and the app has lots of free ink opportunities and prize giveaways for users! Love this app!

This app continues to infuriate & frustrate me. They've completely removed ads to unlock on chapters except for ones that are already WUF & didn't tell us and some comics that had bundle deals no longer do. The interface is still a cluttered, unnecessary mess. All the chapters are more expensive even for ones they assured us wouldn't change. The fact that they're forcing us to update the app or it won't work properly is very telling of how much the app went under. It deserves a negative rating!

Permanent WUFs were great, and it sucks that they removed them. One good update since I downloaded has been the addition of an ad for an episode feature, but that's a maximum of three per day, and only for certain comics. This feature only works on episodes that could already be unlocked for free with WUF, which majorly defeats the point I thought that they existed for. Many ink missions lately are useless and pointless to bother completing. Also, the mature comics are such a hassle to access.

I actually really like Tapas, the app, itself. They have a good selection of stories, if a bit over priced. However, they use Tapjoy as their credit earning system and it's awful. Customer service is just a robot, it fails more than it doesn't. If you want to earn ink credits to read instead of just paying for them or using the "wait until free" options, I would recommend going elsewhere. It's now to the point where I will find another reading app that offers better credit earning potential.
