4.8 The eero WiFi system is designed to provide seamless internet connectivity throughout your home, and it comes packed with features that make it stand out in the crowded market of home networking solutions. Here are some of the core features that I found particularly impressive:
As a remote worker, my home WiFi is my lifeline. I rely on a stable connection for video calls, file uploads, and streaming content. The eero WiFi system has transformed my work-from-home experience. For example, during a crucial client meeting, I was able to move around my house without losing connection, thanks to the TrueMesh technology. I often find myself working in different rooms, and the eero system ensures that I have a strong signal no matter where I am. Additionally, when my kids are home, they can stream their favorite shows on multiple devices without any buffering, which is a huge relief during busy afternoons.
The eero app is incredibly user-friendly, with a clean and intuitive interface that makes managing my network a breeze. Setting up the system was straightforward; the app guided me through each step, and I was online in no time. The dashboard provides a clear overview of connected devices, and I can easily prioritize bandwidth for my work laptop when needed. The performance has been stellar; I’ve experienced minimal lag during video calls and streaming sessions. Overall, my experience with the eero system has been overwhelmingly positive, and I feel more connected than ever.
The eero WiFi system is competitively priced, with various packages available to suit different needs. I opted for the eero Pro 6, which offers tri-band WiFi and covers larger homes effectively. The initial investment felt justified given the performance and features. Additionally, eero offers a subscription service for advanced security features, which I found to be reasonably priced and worth considering for enhanced protection.
eero provides excellent customer support, with a comprehensive help center and responsive customer service. I had a minor issue during setup, and their support team was quick to assist me via chat. The regular software updates are a significant plus, as they ensure that my network remains secure and efficient. I appreciate that eero is proactive about keeping its users informed about new features and improvements.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when it comes to my home network. The eero app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, making it easily accessible. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic personal information, which is standard for most networking devices. However, I was pleased to see that eero emphasizes user privacy and does not sell personal data to third parties.
Moreover, the eero system does not display ads or engage in tracking behavior, which is a significant concern for many users today. The built-in security features, including automatic updates and the option for advanced security subscriptions, provide an added layer of protection against potential threats. Overall, I feel confident in the security measures eero has in place, allowing me to enjoy my internet experience without unnecessary worries.

OK, maybe I'm just unlucky, but it is not as straightforward as portrayed in the setup. The instructions seem to tell me one thing, but there are three possibilities on screen. Some steps are counterintuitive, like the grayed out step is what's active but the bright blue font is not active. Don't set them up where they will be after they're connected. Put them all close together, get them connected, then you will find out how far away they will work. Or you'll be wasting your time in dead area.

I shouldn't need an account or use a mobile app to edit Wi-Fi settings. Most routers have a way to access the settings via any web browser, meaning you can access them on any device so long as you have the admin login. If I need to do port forwarding or something, I'm likely already on a computer which should be able to access the network settings. I shouldn't be required to grab my phone, install an app, and set up an account to some service just to change basic settings.

This is the most buggyst POS ever. The parental controls never worked, blocking nor setting a schedule would say set or blocked but never did. Having this trash forced on me by Mediacom was the last straw. I switched to T-moible and I can't believe how wonderful it is to always be connected to have the router parental controls work so I can set limits and consequences. Also, this is a fire hazard as it would get very hot to the touch. Don't put up with this there's way better modems/routers.

Started out great....now not so much. So many updates and every time it reboots everything Alexa devices get placed badly and don't respond. Performance gets worse throughout the mesh as well. finally, the eero built in router with my Ring alarm was a bad idea as I'm now stuck with the old eero 6. that's on me for not thinking it through. when this ages out I will definitely switch to something else.

No way to change the settings from PC? No documents or nowhere it mentioned how to change settings from a computer. If you don't have a phone or you just lost a phone, then need to go to buy a new phone to change the settings? Why extra trouble? In addition, the available settings are extremely limited. No option exists to limit speed for a device (s). As everything from toys to appliances get connected to the internet, a low priority device should not be able to consume all bandwidth.
