4.7 Weather Radar by WeatherBug is packed with features that make it a standout choice for anyone looking to stay informed about the weather. Here are some of the core highlights that truly enhance the user experience:
As someone who enjoys outdoor activities, I find myself using Weather Radar by WeatherBug in various scenarios. For instance, every Saturday morning, I go hiking with friends. Before we set out, I always check the app for the latest weather updates. The real-time radar maps help me determine if we need to bring extra layers or if we should postpone our hike due to potential rain.
Another scenario is during the winter months when snowstorms can hit unexpectedly. I remember one particular day when I was planning to drive to visit family. The app alerted me to a snowstorm warning, allowing me to adjust my travel plans and leave earlier to avoid hazardous conditions. It’s these moments that make me appreciate the app’s reliability and accuracy.
The user interface of Weather Radar by WeatherBug is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I’m greeted with a clean layout that displays the current temperature and weather conditions prominently. Navigating through the various features is seamless; I can easily switch between radar maps, alerts, and forecasts with just a few taps.
One of my favorite aspects is the performance of the app. It loads quickly, and the radar maps are smooth and responsive. I’ve never experienced any lag, even when zooming in on specific areas. The overall design is visually appealing, with vibrant colors that make it easy to read the information at a glance. After using the app for several months, I can confidently say it has become an essential tool in my daily routine.
Weather Radar by WeatherBug is free to download and use, which is a significant advantage for budget-conscious users. While the app does offer a premium version with additional features, the free version is robust enough for most users. I’ve found that the free features meet my needs perfectly, making it a great value for anyone looking for reliable weather information without breaking the bank.
The developers of WeatherBug are proactive in providing updates and support. I’ve noticed regular updates that enhance the app’s functionality and fix any bugs. Additionally, the support team is responsive; I once had a question about a feature, and I received a helpful reply within a day. This level of customer service adds to my overall satisfaction with the app.
When it comes to security and privacy, Weather Radar by WeatherBug takes important measures to protect its users. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. Upon installation, users are required to provide minimal personal data, which is a plus for those concerned about privacy.
While the app does feature ads, they are not overly intrusive, and I appreciate that I can use the app without feeling overwhelmed by advertisements. Additionally, WeatherBug has a clear privacy policy that outlines how user data is collected and used, which is reassuring for American users who prioritize their online privacy. Overall, I feel confident using the app, knowing that my information is handled responsibly.

Alerts are broken. I ONLY want SEVERE alerts. I have never once turned on pollen alerts as they don't affect me. Yet they are treated the same as an actual tornado warning. My phone now groups all alerts with my always running current conditions bar so they aren't really very good at alerting me to anything. I can't figure out how to change it. Also, I miss future radar being able to show more than an hour ahead. An hour is nothing!

In general I like the app. It seems fairly accurate, as far as weather prediction can be. My problem that every few days, it won't reload/ update information, even when I pull down to refresh. Sometimes I end up restarting my phone, just to get the app working again. It's not my phone, since other apps are able to refresh. Anyone have any suggestions?

Weathering is usually a very good app but it stopped working properly this morning. It only displays the weekly forecast but not the hourly temperature or the current temperature or the FAQ page so I tried restarting my phone but it is still not working properly. The screen goes black whenever I click on the FAQ page so I wasn't able to send you any feedback. what do you suggest?

WB contains pretty much all of the info you would look for in a weather app. However, you basically have to pay for it because there are so many ads it effects app performance otherwise. The radar is pretty low res but it's accurate enough. I'd also really appreciate being able to REMOVE cards from the home page, not just reorder them. I will never look at most of them and they just make the home page cluttered (even without ads)

I 💯% REGRET UPDATING THIS APP!!!🤬🤬🤬 This use to be my favorite weather app until their most recent update deleted the majority of my saved places/locations! Plus they removed the option to choose a weather station closer to your saved locations, thereby, making it more accurate, and they now limit the overall number of saved locations. Wish I could give ZERO STARS!
