4.9 In my daily life, I often find myself juggling work, family, and personal commitments, which can lead to overwhelming stress. I typically use Finch during my morning routine, right after I wake up. I take a few minutes to check in with my feelings and set intentions for the day. On particularly hectic days, I turn to Finch during my lunch break for a quick mindfulness exercise, which helps me reset and refocus. Additionally, I’ve found it beneficial to use the app before bed, engaging in calming activities that prepare my mind for a restful night’s sleep.
The user interface of Finch is incredibly intuitive and visually appealing. The vibrant colors and cute animations of my virtual pet make the experience enjoyable and engaging. Navigating through the app is seamless; I can easily access daily challenges, track my progress, and interact with the community. The feature workflow is straightforward, allowing me to quickly log my activities and moods without feeling overwhelmed. After using Finch for several weeks, I genuinely feel more in tune with my mental health, and the app has become a cherished part of my daily routine.
Finch offers a free version that provides access to a wide range of features, which is fantastic for anyone just starting their self-care journey. However, for those looking for an enhanced experience, there is a premium subscription available. The premium version unlocks additional features, such as exclusive challenges and personalized coaching, which I found to be worth the investment for deeper engagement and support.
The developers of Finch are proactive in providing updates and improvements based on user feedback. I’ve noticed several enhancements since I started using the app, including new challenges and improved community features. Customer support is also responsive; I had a minor issue with syncing my progress, and the support team addressed it promptly, ensuring a smooth experience. This level of attention to user needs makes me feel valued as a user.
As an American user, I prioritize security and privacy when using apps, and Finch does a commendable job in this area. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, which adds a layer of credibility. During registration, I was only required to provide minimal personal data, such as my email address, which is reassuring. Finch does not bombard users with ads, and I appreciate that they are transparent about their data usage policies. There’s no invasive tracking behavior, allowing me to focus on my self-care journey without feeling like my privacy is compromised. Overall, I feel secure using Finch, knowing that my personal information is handled with care.

4/27 I love this app soooo much! The previous issues, not many, were resolved and I'm soooo grateful. I do have a technical question, though. When I check off a task as done, there is a pop up for any edits and to write a reflection on the task. If I tap the three dots for a drop down menu, it immediately just goes away and I have to go into history to add the reflection. Not a huge deal, but I used that option a lot in the past and it's frus ***fun and easy way to stay organized and motivated

I really like this app, but it needs more. I wish it had more to keep you engaged. The ad claimed it was like a tamagotchi, but it isn't really. That would actually be cool though. Because needing to feed your Birb would probably help more with motivation to do tasks than just the adventure thing. If they add in feeding the Birb and playing with it, to keep it healthy and happy, it would be even better and it would bump it to five stars in my opinion. It's pretty great, but just needs more.

Actually a mental health app. It has incentives to do tasks. You can do them with friends or family to keep you (and them) motivated. You can dress up your penguin and home with a variety of themes. The paid version is just for extra goodies from the shop and more outfit slots. You get 2 by default and plenty of shop options without paying which is so nice. It can get a little pushy some times but it never makes you feel bad for clicking 'no thanks'.

I CANNOT use this app at night :( it's actually been so helpful, but no dark mode makes it incredibly difficult to log things at night or use the app when I first get up. I have a few ocular issues (photosensitive, after images, visual snow, hormonal migraines) and I'd really love to pay for the app and use it long term, but I just can't. I'm missing goals because of this and it's really frustrating and disheartening. Please come out with a dark mode! It would make so many birb parents happy!

I love this app. My only complaint is when I have set goals for start of day, afternoon, evening, bedtime, I expect them to stay in order but they dont always do. If I set a new goal, it makes things go all wacky and I have to reorder them. It's not too big an issue, but when I'm struggling to get things done and look to the app to help, sometimes not seeing it at the top is enough for me to procrastinate when I wouldn't otherwise. Small detail, but that's the only thing that drives me mad.
