3.3 The U-Haul app is a powerful tool designed to simplify the moving process, whether you're relocating across town or across the country. Here are some of its standout features:
As someone who has moved several times in the past few years, I can confidently say that the U-Haul app has become an essential part of my moving toolkit. One of the most memorable experiences was when I had to relocate for a new job. I was overwhelmed with the logistics of packing up my entire life, but the U-Haul app made it manageable. I used it to reserve a truck, order packing supplies, and even find a storage unit for my extra belongings. The app was my go-to resource, and it felt like I had a personal assistant guiding me through the process.
The user interface of the U-Haul app is intuitive and user-friendly. Upon opening the app, I was greeted with a clean layout that made navigation a breeze. The feature workflow is straightforward; I could easily switch between reserving a vehicle, ordering supplies, and accessing moving tips. Performance-wise, the app was responsive, with minimal loading times, which is crucial when you're in the midst of a hectic move. Overall, my experience was positive, and I felt a sense of relief knowing that I had all the tools I needed right at my fingertips.
U-Haul's pricing is competitive and transparent, which I greatly appreciated. The app provides clear estimates based on the type of vehicle, distance, and duration of the rental. I found that the costs were reasonable, especially considering the convenience of having everything organized in one place. Additionally, there are often promotions and discounts available, which can help save even more money during your move.
The U-Haul app is regularly updated, which is a testament to their commitment to improving user experience. I noticed enhancements in the app's functionality after a recent update, making it even easier to navigate. Customer support is also readily accessible through the app, with options for live chat and FAQs. I had a question about my reservation, and the support team was quick to respond, providing me with the information I needed without any hassle.
As an American user, security and privacy are paramount when using any app, and U-Haul takes these concerns seriously. The app is available on both the App Store and Google Play, ensuring that it meets the necessary security standards for mobile applications. During the registration process, I was required to provide basic personal information, such as my name, email, and phone number, which is standard for service apps. However, I appreciated that U-Haul clearly outlines how they use this data, ensuring transparency.
In terms of ads and tracking behavior, I noticed that the app does not bombard users with excessive advertisements, which can often be a turn-off. Instead, it focuses on providing a seamless user experience. U-Haul does collect data to improve their services, but they are upfront about this in their privacy policy, allowing users to make informed decisions about their data. Overall, I felt secure using the app, knowing that my information was handled responsibly.

absolutely horrible. They push everything to be done on this app and it never even works. I can't even sign in. after entering my phone number and clicking sending one time code, it says oops something went wrong. reaching out to support and all they said was "oh we had an update, you need to update your app". well no, it is updated. it is just useless junk. and then they send you text messages with a link, but it doesn't work on web, it requires this non-functioning app.

this app crashes when you try to sign in to your account. I click the button to sign in, it asks for a verification code from my phone, as soon as the code comes in, the app destabilizes and crashes. This makes actually logging in impossible, which meant we had to do the reservation with the clerk inside, as they now push all reservation activities through an app that doesn't work. I have an S25 ultra, so this was not a result of an obscure or old phone.

This is application is simply riddled with problems. The check-in process tends to hang. It won't accept pictures after several attempts for check-in or check-out. Information about business hours is out-of-date for some locations. The chat features text box blocks the keyboard on some phones, making it useless. The location feature is inaccurate. Poor execution all around.

Viewing orders works when it works, but when it comes to uploading the information I get texts and email requests to upload, the app stalls out on a loading screen. I get randomly signed out often. And now, I cannot use the app at all, as I am forced to agree to terms and conditions. When I agree to the terms and conditions, the page moves on to the exact same page of terms and conditions. No matter how many times I agree the app never moves past this.

The checkout and return process in the app is riddled with bugs. You can get entirely through the process of submitting and taking pictures of the whole car and it will forget and take you back to the home screen when hitting submit. I would recommend going to a physical location if you can. I spent multiple hours between the app and their support phone line just to get in and out of the truck.
